Robertshaw Statement on COVID-19

As the COVID-19 crisis continues, we know that we are in unprecedented times. The way we live, how we work and how customers interact with business partners is rapidly evolving. We know this amount of change and fluidity brings uncertainty. Please know, we are in this together.

Our hearts go out to anyone that has been impacted by the virus. To those who are sick, we send our thoughts and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Robertshaw's top priority is the health and well-being of our employees, customers and business partners.

We want to communicate the steps we are taking to limit the impact of COVID-19 to our constituents. We are monitoring the situation on a day-by-day basis in all our worldwide facilities.  The following actions have been implemented to protect our employees, facilities and customers.

  • Employees: We are working diligently with our employees and stressing the importance of good hygiene and “social distancing” both in and out of the office.  This includes washing hands frequently with soap and warm water, covering coughs, avoiding touching of the face and avoiding handshakes.  Where appropriate, we are monitoring the temperature and health of our employees daily.  We are also working to provide flexible work environments to accommodate changing local requirements and smart working from home where applicable, including utilizing electronic conferencing platforms and other communication applications, for external customer meetings and internal purposes.  We have cancelled all business-related travel plans where possible and until further notice.

  • Customers: We continue to build trust and strength in our relationships with our customers by communicating proactively, understanding their needs, actively working new designs and solutions and reinforcing our support for their businesses. We are here to serve our customers and are working proactively to minimize business impacts and disruptions. Technical Support and Customer Service Teams are still operational and available.

  • Essential Business: During this coronavirus pandemic, various industries, businesses and services have been deemed “Essential” by the governments in the regions in which we work. Specifically, in the United States, many of our customers need our products to build essential equipment such as agricultural equipment, HVAC equipment and appliances. Consumers are depending on the continued supply of these products which cannot be produced without us. Robertshaw is an essential supplier and our facilities will continue to remain open in the United States. On the other hand, we have closed our facilities temporarily in countries where it has been mandated by the government including Italy and India. In Bedford, U.K. we are temporarily closing our facility from March 30-April 14.

  • Facilities: Additional cleaning protocols have been implemented throughout all our facilities, including our clean rooms and non-clean room environments.  We are thoroughly disinfecting our offices, restroom facilities, as well as common gathering areas daily.  When possible, each facility is giving inbound materials a thorough review.  Where applicable, appropriate protocols are in place for items to be cleaned down to ensure they have been disinfected.

  • Supply Chain: We continue to closely monitor our supply chain activity.  Alternate suppliers will be qualified, if circumstances warrant the need.  We are also requesting updated forecasts from our customers to help us manage and plan the supply of components and materials.

We appreciate your business and will continue to provide updates as additional information becomes available.  We are committed to working with our customers to develop continuity plans as needed as we navigate through these challenging circumstances.
