The new Robertshaw® eST was designed to be backwards-compatible with current controls, and provides the network interface to meet new, proposed government standards. The smart eST design maintains the current construction of the water heater itself, and provides the manufacturer with a revenue stream by replacing non-communicating controls at current installations.
